I promise. . .

I wrote this vow a little over 2 years ago. Thought I should dig it up and share it again.

Just wondering which man will make me say vows aw strong as this or even stronger. Lol.

Today;
a day ordained by God, is the day we've waited for all our lives.
A day we will be joined together here on the altar of God, before the man of God and in the presence of family, friends and well wishers;
I take you to be my lawfully wedded husband, the head of our home and provider for our household.
On this day, I willingly decide to live forever with your flaws, acknowledge and appreciate your strengths at all times.
From this day on, I choose to live, love and laugh with you; to stand by your side, sleep in your arms; and bring joy to your heart.
I choose to be food for your soul; to bring out the best in you always, and to be the most that I can...
I promise to laugh with you in good times, to fight the bad times with you; to wipe your tears with my hands; to comfort you with my body; to share with you all my riches and honours.
Together we shall grow old, loving each other sweetly, gladly and unconditionally.
I promise to not only love, respect and cherish you but to hold you in high esteem in all that we do.
I hereby submit myself to you as Christ has commanded that you treat me as you treat yourself from now on as we are now joined to become one in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen!
May we have unquantifiable reasons to smile and few to worry about.

DIY door designs

So... Two months after moving into this flat, I decided that my room door was too boring and plain. I decided to jazz it up a bit.

With my cardboards, glue, scissors, razor blade, my hands and my brains I was able to do this . . . LOL

Apple n noodles

So... I decided to experiment once again... Hehehehee

Recipe
Half an apple
1 120g noodles
2 cubes of sugar
Water
1 egg
Curry
Blue band

I boiled my noodles with its sauce.

In a bowl, I mixed the egg with dissolved sugar (dissolved the sugar with small water), added curry, a teaspoon of blue band, then added the skinned and diced apple into it and mixed thoroughly.

When the noodles was soft, I added it into the mixture and fried it all together...

Food was ready!!!

Haven't tasted as at the time of writing this. *winks*

Naturals In The City

Yes!!! Its another edition of naturals meeting... By naturals, I mean people who keep their natural hair. Hair that hasn't been chemically processed. Some of us did the Big Chop while some transitioned. Whatever it is you did, its time to meet and discuss hair once again. Relaxed hair peeps can also come and learn on how to maintain a healthy hair.

I'm so excited cos its the first time I'll be attending and I have a lot of questions to ask. Can't wait!!!!

Food, Me, Chef Fregz

If you know me well, then you'll know that I don't joke with food. I eat anytime, anywhere as long as I'm hungry. Lol.

Not just food, I love me some delish good food. Be it from the buka by the corner or from the exotic restaurants, my palate loves to eat good.

Chef Fregz cooking has been my obsession to taste and when it was time for the tenth edition specials, I didn't hesitate to save my pennies till the due date. I was blown away by the dessert especially. Hmmmm.... I can still taste it. Lol.

THE MENU

THE FREGZINATOR

A 100% beef patty sitting on crisp lettuce leaves and a sweet but spicy chipotle mayonnaise topped with a creamy cheddar sauce topped with another beef patty, more chipotle mayo then some delicious cranberry sauce, caramelised onions all in between a luscious white bun.

THE OGA AT THE TOP

Rack of Pork Ribs marinaded in an asian BBQ sauce roasted to juicy perfection whilst being basted with more Asian BBQ sauce. Served with Fries or Rice and a Salad

SAMBA

Taking from the traditional spanish classic this a black seafood rice with juicy bits of calamari and shrimps with a slight kick from chilli peppers. It’s blackness is from the calamari ink.

Gentility

Who is a gentleman? What makes one classify another as being gentle and not crude? Is it just by their appearance or behaviour or a combination of both? Are there still gentlemen out there? For the ladies, do we say a man is gentle when we can control him? Or when he holds the door open for you? Or when he buys us things and says sweet words to us? Are there still gentlemen out there in our country? I woke up this morning wondering about all that.

Going through the web, I read what someone wrote and it says, "A gentleman is a man who recognizes his strength and weaknesses. He understands himself and treats others the way he wants to be treated. He shows respect to all and does not play games". Another person wrote "what makes a man gentle is his charisma and the way he comports himself. Been considerate, good-natured, courteous, polite, well mannered, soft spoken, less talkative, neat, approachable, and benevolent". Another person believes that he should be a man who doesn't fight but can defend himself, he should treat both men and women right and he should have a high moral standard.

Personally, I can't think of anyway to define a gentleman but I'd agree with some of the opinions these people have stated. Every man from when he is a child, should be taught to provide and protect for his woman, be it his mother or sister. He should be taught to make sacrifices especially when it comes to making provision for the lady.

Like I said earlier, I was wondering . . . This is because I cannot comprehend the fact that a man would rather use the last bucket of water in the house and expects the lady to go out and fetch that which she would use. It's just so funny. He would rather be comfortable and let the lady suffer? It just baffles me. What if that lady was his sister? Would the same treatment be meted out to her? Would he want to watch her go through that stress?

Anyhoo. . . I've just been wondering out aloud.

I'm back again. I'm just a lazy ass blogger I swear. Lol.

NYSC orientation camp is over.
That's me tired and trying to satisfy the people at he secretariat .

Stayed in Lagos for a while.... Caught up with the two Ayos I met in camp.

Seeing as I always love food, I've been eating quite a lot these days and my stomach is getting big which is not good cos I'm a lazy girl that doesn't exercise.

They all went into the cup.

Starters: bread and goat meat pepper soup
Main course: Seafood Pasta with Coq au vin chicken and some fried plantains
Dessert: cream caramel

Tu-hoo!!!
